Mutilating, cutting, burning, and other forms of self-injurious behavior by youth are often perceived by professionals and others as suicide-related behaviors. This workshop will help foster parents to understand that such behaviors are often the result of past trauma or abuse. Participants will explore the causes and scope of these behaviors and learn ways to intervene.
