Dan says he loves to make people laugh. He describes himself as kind, generous, helpful, silly, studious and a geek. He also describes himself as a protector of others—especially his sister.
A sophomore who really likes school, Dan’s favorite class is history, which has led to an interest in archeology. Dan would like to go to college and is considering a career as either an archeologist or police officer.
Dan likes swimming, football, bike riding, video games, reading, Star Wars and doing research. He enjoys spending time with friends and loves family time and playing family games with his caregivers. Also on the list of things he enjoys is helping around the house, doing chores and helping with cooking. Dan adds that he really enjoys being his goofy self!
Family is very important to Dan. He believes family members should spend time together, care about and support each other, and they should have each other’s best interests at heart. Dan thinks a family should have a “comfortable” number of kids and pets—he especially likes dogs. He adds that he loves the idea of a family celebrating Christmas, watching Star Wars movies and shopping together. Dan says it would really make him happy to be adopted by a good family who loves, understands, accepts and supports him.
Children available through Stark County Job and Family Services may qualify for a variety of resources including financial support through federal or state subsidies, the medical card, or funding to cover travel expenses and legal fees. Eligibility is determined by each child’s specific special needs and is subject to change based on federal and state regulation. Dan’s adoption worker will be happy to provide additional information regarding specific subsidy and resource eligibility.
