Jermarijon, who goes by JJ, is a high school senior who says the word that best describes him is cool. Those who know JJ agree he is cool, but they add that what makes JJ so special is that he is also interested and interesting, imaginative, creative and genuinely nice!
JJ knows who he is, what he likes and what he would like to accomplish. He enjoys the world around him and being a teenager. He adds that while he doesn’t like how much teens gossip, he does like being given more responsibility to make decisions for himself.
Learning new things and being challenged are important to JJ so he really enjoys school and homework and his grades show it! He competes on his school’s speech team because he enjoys communicating. JJ adds that if he could do one thing very well, he “would be the best competitive public speaker in the world and he would win the national speech trophy and a college scholarship.” And what would JJ like to study in college? Meteorology, calculus and maybe art.
JJ’s interests are many! He likes to write and record songs, draw, dance, play basketball and video games, travel highways, go to new places, and spend time on Google Maps exploring the world. JJ also enjoys TV shows with voiceovers and small dogs who think they’re big!
Lots of interests keep JJ busy, but there is something he would like to add to his life and that is to be adopted. JJ likes the idea of a big family with lots of kids. He says that, "A family has a great bond, so you can just tell they care about each other." JJ thinks having a happy, affectionate family who isn’t afraid to show they love each other would be just right. He imagines how nice it would be to have a family that goes out for ice cream, or to eat, that goes to events and participates in activities together and that spends holidays together.
Are you the family JJ is looking for?
