Santos is a very happy eighth grader who enjoys making people laugh. When asked what single word best describes him,
Santos said, “My name, Santos, because my grandfather gave me his name and he took care of me in Honduras!”
Santos enjoys school, especially gym where he has lots of fun, and lunch because he can spend time with his friends. He adds that English is his most challenging class because he is learning in his second language. Santos plans to go to college and would like to attend Ohio University and play football. He is thinking about becoming a professional football player, coach or police officer.
Favorite activities include spending time with friends, going to the park, playing video games and going shopping for shoes and clothes. Most of all, Santos loves sports—he is on his school’s football, basketball and wrestling teams. Santos says if he could choose one thing to do really well, he would be the best football wide receiver in the world!
Family, Santos says, is important to life. He believes families should stay together, respect each other and have fun together. Santos adds that he would like to have an active, sports-loving, younger family with brothers and sisters—and a dog would also be nice!
Children available through Stark County Job and Family Services may qualify for a variety of resources including financial support through federal or state subsidies, the medical card or funding to cover travel expenses and legal fees. Eligibility is determined by each child’s specific special needs and is subject to change based on federal and state regulation. Avaya's adoption worker will be happy to provide additional information regarding specific subsidy and resource eligibility.
