Serenity is artistic and enjoys reading, writing, music, photography, cooking, clothes and makeup. She also enjoys learning new things, watching YouTube, taking walks and running. Serenity is a 10th grader who enjoys school and spending time with her friends. Because of her love of writing, English is Serenity’s favorite class and she is already writing at a college level. She participated in cheer and is active in her school’s gymnastics program.
Serenity would like an after-school waitressing job. Her goal is to attend college and become a social worker so that she can help others. She is thinking about earning a cosmetology license first so that she can work and earn money to pay for college.
Family, Serenity says, is composed of people who love and support you no matter what. She adds that a mom and dad who love learning and education would be great; and so would a family that enjoys travel, museums, movies, going out to eat and having family board game nights. Camping, though, doesn’t make Serenity’s list of fun family activities! Serenity says she can see herself as a big sister and she also thinks a pet cat would be nice.
Children available through Stark County Job and Family Services may qualify for a variety of resources including financial support through federal or state subsidies, the medical card, or funding to cover travel expenses and legal fees. Eligibility is determined by each child’s specific special needs and is subject to change based on federal and state regulation. Serenity’s adoption worker will be happy to provide additional information regarding specific subsidy and resource eligibility.
